What do South Koreans Need to Enter the Philippines?

For a South Korean citizen planning a vacation in the Philippines, the entry requirements are straightforward. 

South Korean tourists can stay for up to 30 days without a visa in the Philippines. However, they must fulfill certain requirements.

Firstly, they need a valid passport that remains valid for at least six months beyond their planned stay. Also, they should have a return or onward ticket. Most importantly, they must complete an online application for the Philippines Arrival Card. 

Understanding Arrival Card for the Philippines

Despite the visa exemption, every traveler, including South Koreans, must possess the Philippines Arrival Card, also known as the Arrival Card. 

The eArrival Card, which travelers must secure before their arrival in the Philippines, replaces the previous Health Pass.  

However, it does not substitute for a visa. If South Korean tourists plan to stay beyond 30 days, they need to apply for a visa separately, either before their trip or extend their stay while in the Philippines.

How to Apply for the Philippines Arrival Card?

The process for obtaining the Arrival Card is simple and can be completed online within just a few minutes. South Koreans will require: 

• A passport valid for at least six months longer than the planned stay in the Philippines. 
• A working email address to receive the digital Arrival Card upon approval. 
• A debit or credit card to handle the processing fees.

It’s crucial to remember that every traveler, including infants and children, must have their own eArrival Card. This also applies to transit passengers intending to exit the airport premises. 

Philippines e-Travel Registration for South Koreans

 The Philippines’ Government introduced a new e-Travel Registration system, replacing the old Health Card Registration on December 1, 2021. 

South Koreans must complete the e-Travel Registration (commonly known as Arrival Card) before entering the Philippines. This requirement is mandated by the government. 

To avoid long airport lines, South Koreans should finish their e-Travel Registration at least 72 hours before leaving the country. 

South Korean travelers can get the e-Travel Registration card from the Philippine Bureau of Quarantine at the airports.
